The Fencing Illini
The Point Fencing Club is the proud home of the Fencing Illini, the collegiate fencing club of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC).
We offer a discounted membership to all college students that includes access to all PFC classes and open fencing as well as a dedicated storage space for fencing illini gear. The Fencing Illini run carpools to transport fencers between campus and the PFC but there are also nearby bus stops that are free for university students. The 5/50E Green takes you into Urbana leaving about a 5 minute walk, with the club being just past the H Mart.
The Fencing Illini have a strong tournament presence with many fencers going to local, regional, and national tournaments. Many students carpool to these events to allow students without personal transportation the ability to participate. The Fencing Illini are also a part of the Midwest Fencing Conference (MFC), Participating in Team Events against other universities in the Midwest region.
